“You can’t possibly think that Shakespeare has better poetic language than Poe. It’s unthinkable.” The soft-spoken poet all but yelled, tapping his finger against the front of his literature textbook. “Look at ‘The Raven.’ That is writing.” Trevor said, eating one of the pita chips out of his Tupperware container.

“He does. I don’t think you know what good literature is anymore. We used to have the best conversations.” Emily argued, waving her lunch around.

“You disgust me.” Trevor said, pulling his hat down on his forehead. Emily set her book on the lawn and laid down beside him on the blanket. She slowly raised his hat up and looked down at him. He opened his eyes.

“You are incredibly cute when you rant about literature, you know.” Trevor said, lifting his eyebrow with a smirk.

“That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet…” Emily stated, leaning down and pressing a kiss to his lips. “That is poetic language.”

Trevor rolled his eyes. “Your quote repertoire needs some work…” he smiled, “but your kissing is fantastic.”
